MyThings Says "Milk it or Move it!"--It's Time to Say Goodbye to Clutter
New services from MyThings.com help you sell, donate, and recycle the things you no longer need.
Menlo Park, CA (PRWEB) June 11, 2007 -- MyThings (http://www.mythings.com) the global online registry of belongings, today announces it has introduced new services to help consumers de-clutter their lives.
Launched earlier this year, MyThings is the only free web service to provide a true one-stop shop to help people organize and manage their belongings through their own MyThings Portfolio--a "digital shoe box" that captures and holds all the important information about their valued belongings.
"Milk it or move it--that's our motto at MyThings," says CEO, Benny Arbel. "Our job is to give you everything you need to enjoy what you own, even after you're done with it. When you're deciding whether to keep, sell, recycle, or give away your belongings, we help you make smart choices."
We all have lots of things, and more often than not, we're looking for ways to get rid of some of our things to make room for new purchases. Coming to the rescue, MyThings just added three new services to help do just that.
Milk it!
Once you've logged in and added an item to your free, personal MyThings Portfolio, MyThings members can "milk it" by determining its monetary value via MyThings' free valuation and market estimator services. Then, once they learn the value of their items, MyThings continues to help them get the most their belongings by simplifying routine tasks like finding accessories, warranties, insurance, manuals, and reviews.
MyThings also provides a wealth of community features, allowing members to connect with others who own the same things and have similar interests.
Move it!
MyThings has aligned with global charities Oxfam, Goodwill, and Earth 911 to help members easily locate the closest donation or recycling center to their home. Now members can easily get rid of their unwanted belongings--and "move it" into the lives of the less fortunate.
Rather try to make some money off your unwanted things? MyThings members can now easily "move it" on eBay. Now, through a new, simple integration, with just a click of the mouse MyThings members can easily move items from their MyThings Portfolio and sell them to the highest bidder on eBay.
"MyThings helps people get the most out of their things while they want them," says Arbel, "and to dispose of them in the most appropriate socially responsible way when they no longer want them."
