Hamilton Victory Means Fast Payout For PartyBets Users Bookmakers Crown Lewis BBC Sports Personality Now

Following on from Lewis Hamilton's maiden Formula One victory in the Canadian Grand Prix, internet bookmaker www.PartyBets.com have decided that the McLaren driver is so certain to win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award, they have today paid out on him; five months before the result is announced.

Gibraltar (PRWEB) June 13, 2007 -- Following on from Lewis Hamilton's maiden Formula One victory in the Canadian Grand Prix, internet bookmaker www.PartyBets.com have decided that the McLaren driver is so certain to win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award, they have today paid out on him; five months before the result is announced.

After a year with no major international football tournament and England's cricket team having flopped at the World Cup and the Ashes, 22-year-old Hamilton has been a rare British success, having already recorded 5 out of a possible 5 podium finishes before his first F1 victory in Montreal last Sunday. Hamilton has been backed down from a starting price of 12/1 in mid-March to an almost un-backable 1/5 to become the first F1 driver since Damon Hill in 1996 to take the prestigious BBC accolade.

We are aware that with Wimbledon and the Rugby World Cup still to come we are taking a small risk. However, it is all over in our eyes, there is no way Hamilton will not become the BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
The move has cost PartyBets.com, which is owned by the FTSE listed PartyGaming company, thousands of pounds. However, PartyBets.com is adamant that the charismatic Hamilton will not be beaten to the award.

A PartyBets.com spokesman said, "We are aware that with Wimbledon and the Rugby World Cup still to come we are taking a small risk. However, it is all over in our eyes, there is no way Hamilton will not become the BBC Sports Personality of the Year."

"Lewis is head and shoulders above any Brit at the moment, not only is he confident and charming, he is also a sportsman with a winning habit. We would not be surprised if Hamilton went on to take this award more than any other person has managed to in their career."

Despite paying out early on Hamilton as BBC Sports Personality www.PartyBets.com rate Lewis as a standout 3/1 chance to win Sunday's US Grand Prix and a 1/4 chance not to.

PartyBets.com is a popular member of PartyGaming Plc's growing suite of online games that includes PartyPoker.com, PartyGammon.com, PartyBingo.com, PartyCasino.com, Gamebookers.com and EmpirePoker.com.
