Ninth House Announces Release of "Realize and It's Gone"
Ninth House, New York City's signature "cemetery western" band, announces the release of new CD, "Realize and It's Gone," available on SINister Records.
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 13, 2007 -- "Realize and It's Gone," the third CD by NYC's "gothic cowboys," Ninth House, was officially released on 6/12/07 by independent Seattle label, SINister Records. Fueled by the underground success of their sophomore release, "The Eye That Refuses to Blink," "Realize and It's Gone" delves a bit deeper into the band's country western influences, while still remaining true to the gothic urban subculture the band has called home for so many years. What results is a fascinating blend of what the band has dubbed "cemetery & western," complete with an edgy cover of Johnny Cash's "Ghost Riders in the Sky."
"Realize and It's Gone" was recorded at both Loho Studios (N.Y.C.) and Looming Studio (Brooklyn, NY), and was mixed/mastered by Eric Enjem at Echometrics (N.Y.C.). Standout tracks on the album include the rousing single "Long Stray Whim," the heartrending and desperate "Mistaken for Love" (which provides the perfect showcase for the deep, sultry vocals of front man Mark Sinnis), as well the CD's epic title track, "Realize and It's Gone."
The album's release will be celebrated with an official CD Release Party on Saturday, July 7, 2007 to be held at Galapagos Art Space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. The party will feature a 3-band lineup (Ninth House headlines at midnight), burlesque dancers, video projection, and plenty of CDs and swag on hand for partygoers. Ninth House will also be unveiling a new line-up at the July 7 show. In addition to founding members Sinnis and drummer Francis Xavier, long-time keyboardist Zach will instead showcase his guitar talents as the band welcomes new member Matthew Dundas to the stage on keys.
"Realize and It's Gone" is available for purchase directly from the label at www.sinisterrecords.com, and is coming soon to Amazon.com and other major online retailers.
