Wakefield Development Company Coastal Division has announced that Jim Green has been hired as Vice President of Land Development. In this position, he will manage all land development operations at the company's newest communities San Rio Ocean & River Club and Kingfish Bay as well as future communities along the coast. His new role also includes due diligence, land planning and engineering, budgeting, and construction.

In this position, he will manage all land development operations at the company's newest communities San Rio Ocean & River Club and Kingfish Bay as well as future communities along the coast. Mr. Green graduated from the Citadel with a degree in civil engineering and is a SC registered Professional Engineer. He spent the first decade of his career as an engineering manager. Mr. Green comes to Wakefield Development Company Coastal Division from First Colony Capital, where he was vice president of project management. Prior to his role at First Colony Capital, Mr. Green spent nearly ten years as director of land development for Centex Homes in Myrtle Beach.
He has been married to Marica for 11 years, and is father to Jim, Jr., 10, and Robert, 8. Mr. Green also serves as treasurer for the local Cub Scout pack and president of the local youth baseball association booster club.
