NCH Software Releases FlexiServer Management Software
NCH Software announces the release of a new business management tool, FlexiServer, designed to allow for a more flexible working environment for employers and staff alike.
Canberra, Australia (PRWEB) June 18, 2007 -- NCH Software, specialists in business, video and audio applications announce the release of their latest addition to their business application range,FlexiServer.
"We originally designed this software for in house use, as we have a number of casual and outsourced staff along with our full time employees," said Stephanie Lee, marketing manager for the Australian company. "We found it difficult to keep tabs on casual hours, outsourced hours and leave for full time employees so we created FlexiServer to address these issues. One of the best benefits of this software is the fact that employees can view and verify the number of hours they have worked, and in our case, build up what is commonly known in Australia as "flex time" where extra hours worked over a period of time can be used for an afternoon or a day off without cutting into annual leave."
FlexiServer is the modern replacement for a staff hours book or time card. For staff who's daily work is computer based it does all their hours logging automatically. It will also automatically detect lunch and other long breaks by monitoring your computer's idle state. FlexiStation (installed on the employees computers) also allows employees to manually enter their hours, and an explanation such as a meeting, if they have not been working at a computer for a period of time.
The manager or bookkeeper installs and runs FlexiServer on their PC and using a web control panel they can monitor their staff, view reports or even see what a particular employee is working on.
All staff then run the component FlexiStation on their computers in the background logging hours worked. Employees can also add hours manually, report a colleague sick or put in an application for annual leave. FlexiStation allows staff to enter a private mode if they are using their computer during their lunch hour for services like Internet Banking and it cannot be run in the background without the computer user's knowledge.
"This is a great tool to promote a sense of trust and transparency within an organization," said Stephanie. "Employers can feel more comfortable with their staff working from home and outsourced employees in another country. Staff can access reports of their hours for various periods of time and can use the information logged by Flexi in performance reviews where previously they may not have had this type of information on their side."
FlexiServer is free for up to four employees and the Enterprise version can cater for up to 300 employees and includes additional features such as the ability to send an email or pop up message to a colleague or even initiate a telephone call if the company is running the Axon Virtual PBX with the Express Talk softphone.
