Cleaner Britain Campaign and Awards is Launched
The Cleaner Britain Awards registration is now open. The Cleaner Britain Awards aim to promote and raise awareness of best practise in waste management, re-using and recycling with the aim of reducing land fill. This is your opportunity to promote and highlight how you or your company are helping make Britain cleaner.

The Cleaner Britain Awards aim to promote and raise awareness of best practise in waste management, re-using and recycling with the aim of reducing land fill. This is your opportunity to promote and highlight how you or your company are helping make Britain cleaner.
The unique Cleaner Britain campaign will raise awareness, share knowledge and encourage recycling whilst reducing landfill. The Cleaner Britain awards include 12 regional heats and a national final which including a gala dinner ceremony.
The events aim is to get everyone talking, sharing, and improving things for their own communities and the country in general.
The awards will help answer many questions that the public have and will promote the sharing of best practice between councils, organisations and individuals. A clearer strategy is required across the country to allow for social change to occur and enable a Cleaner approach to our everyday lives. Cleaner Britain is the perfect catalyst for this change.
Registration for the awards is open until November 07. The regional judging will complete before the end of January 08 and the national finals will be held during March 2008.

To register, send your contact details to awards@cleanerbritain.com. As the campaign and awards progress an independently managed equity fund will be created to fund local intitiatives and provide grants for the public, schools, businesses and inventors.
Individuals and companies can enter the majority of Awards themselves, but you can also nominate other people, your school, your teacher, or your local authority for any of the categories.
If you have an idea or invention that you think could change things in this country apply for the innovation awards and your idea could soon become a reality.
