In thirty years Peter Sanders has shifted his focus from the music idols of the 1970s, to capturing the remnants of traditional Islamic societies. WHY??

Why has he taken the time to redefine what it means to be British, with imagery that focuses on the roles of second and third generation British Muslims?

You'll find rare and contrasting styles which represent Islamic and spiritual art through photography, fabric, and spoken word.

As Peter states: "Islam isn't on the fringes of British society. Rather, it has become a thriving and integral part of the very fabric of society."

'Art of Integration' is a refreshing look at the idea of integration, and captures a spirit of Islam in Britain, featuring a rare collaboration of contrasting styles which represent Islamic and spiritual art through photography, fabric, and spoken word. The evening event will include a fashion show featuring the "woven-air" collections of contemporary weaver Rezia Wahid and the soulful prose of spoken word artists Poetic Pilgrimage. Urban folklorists from the award-winning Khayaal Theater Company, will be performing contemporary folklore, with a twist.
