Singapore (PRWEB) June 22, 2007 -- Nine major refineries will be presenting at CMT's 3rd Asia Refining Conference, on September 6 - 7 at Hilton Hotel in Singapore, the world's third largest refining centre. Asia's refiners, Pertamina, Chennai Petroleum, Petrochina, Pak-Arab Refinery, Petrovietnam and Star Petroleum Refining, will share their perspective on refining capacity, new/upgrading projects and their strategy for clean fuel specifications and emission management (sulphur, CO2, GHG) in China, India, Pakistan, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia.

By 2015, Asia's share of global fuel demand is projected to increase to 30%, particularly for middle distillates. To match the soaring demand for fuel from Asia and rest of the world, a spate of new refineries, with a total capacity of 7 million barrels per day, has been announced to be built over the next 5 years. Half of this new capacity will be in Asia.

Outside Asia, National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Co (Iran), Sohar Refinery (Oman), Neste Oil (Finland) will be discussing about the status for their refining projects as well as growing issues such as the global sustainable refining challenges. A Russian refiner will also be invited to cover Russia's development of refining sector and plans to tap into Asia's growing demand.

Since 2005, Asia Refining Conference, organized by Centre for Management Technology, has been attracting global domain experts and hundreds of industry participants in the Oil and Gas industry. Into its third year, CMT's 3rd Asia Refining Conference features not only insightful presentations from leading industry players, but also the latest from refining projects to CO2 emission management, biofuels and future refining challenges. Today industry leaders consider CMT's Asia Refining conference as a must attend event as it offers the best platform for leading players to present their latest technology and project progress reports and also exceptional networking and business opportunities.
