STŌK™ Joins "Pop Evolution's Peak" to Break Out America's Top Dance Moves

High-Octane Coffee Booster & High-Energy Pop Duo, Datarock, Spike Online STŌK Challenge Dance-Off

Broomfield, Colo. (PRWEB) June 21, 2007 -- Bust out your sweet moves and dancing shoes - and tie one on.

Stok_Logo_200dpi.jpgSTŌK™, WhiteWave Foods' breakthrough coffee enhancement concept, today partners with the self-declared pop evolutionaries of Datarock, to launch the STŌK Challenge: a national online dance-off competition with a shot to win $1,000 at GetStokd.com.

"STŌK kicks life up a notch and allows you to keep going - whatever you're doing," said Trevor Bynum, director of marketing for STŌK. "Whether you're a pro backup dancer, a backup dancer wannabe, or just goofing off during an all-nighter, show us your dance moves - our judges are looking for the best public displays of talent and hilarity."

To enter, users download the radio-edited version of Norwegian pop sensation Datarock's hyper jubilant track, "Fa-Fa-Fa" at GetStokd.com. After filming themselves dancing to the track (solo or with up to one family member partner), users simply fill out a basic entry form and upload their video submission through the site, then wait to see if contest judges deem their dance moves to be "STŌK'd" enough to broadcast. Top rated entries will be ranked and posted for viewing on GetStokd.com through the contest's official end date of Aug. 31.

"We're 100 percent behind fueling the all-out, non-stop, rapid fire dance party," said Datarock frontman, Frederik Saroea, who with Ketil Mosnes (bass/keyboards) produces music of the post-punk with disco-tinged techno variety. "We selected (our song) 'Fa-Fa-Fa' for this contest to up the dance ante - people must have mad skills to keep with the beat. We hired a troupe to do on-stage aerobics for one of our shows, and even they were gasping for air."

To add more spring to any dancer's step, a STŌK Black Coffee Shot provides a 40mg jolt of pure caffeine in one serving, boosting the average cup of coffee with the extra oomph of an espresso shot. Available in two flavors, STŌK makes coffee more potent with no effect on the flavor, while STŌK SWEET provides the same added caffeine, but with a sweeter edge. STŌK is available for free now at popular convenience store coffee stations nationwide next to the creamers and sweeteners, and will soon be offered for stand-alone purchase online at GetStokd.com by Sept. 1, 2007.

STŌK Challenge participants also can visit the recently launched GetStokd.com and myspace.com/GetStokd to amp up on additional contest details, product and event-related information; key up on Datarock's STŌK-sponsored North American Tour; hit the latest in news-entertainment headlines on the STŌK Ticker; download attention-getting distractions; and join the exclusive STŌK Stag Club to receive up-to-the-minute STŌK-related updates and free gifts.
