Capitol Steps Slated to Perform Full Summer Season at Berkshire's Four Diamond Resort
Capitol Steps, the award-winning musical satire group celebrating its 25th anniversary, will be performing at Cranwell Resort, Spa and Golf Club in Lenox, MA this July and August.
Lenox, MA (PRWEB) June 24, 2007 -- Capitol Steps, the award-winning musical satire group celebrating its 25th anniversary, will be performing at Cranwell Resort, Spa and Golf Club in Lenox, MA this July and August. While the Capitol Steps have performed in all 50 states, this marks the group's first season-long run in Massachusetts. Shows will run July 3 through September 2, at 8:00 nightly except Tuesdays (excluding opening night).
Recently nominated for the prestigious Drama Desk award for "Outstanding Lyrics" and winner of the 2006 WUSA A-List for Best Comedy Club 2006, the Capitol Steps have reached many fans. Larry King of CNN has said, "They're the best. There's no one like them, no one in their league." and former President George H. W. Since they began in 1981, the Capitol Steps have recorded 27 albums, including "Springtime for Liberals". They've been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC and PBS, and can be heard 4 times a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during their "Politics Takes a Holiday" radio specials. They'll be performing songs from their latest albums "I'm So Indicted" and "Springtime for Liberals", as well as other current issues in the news.
Convenient pre-show dining is available at the historic Wyndhurst Restaurant in the Mansion or at Sloane's Tavern with the option of outdoor terrace seating overlooking the golf course. After the show, there is a late-dining menu until 11:00 in the Mansion, including a wide selection of International coffees and sumptuous desserts.
