Record Gold Market Growth Attracts Global Investors

Consumers and investors spent more money on gold around the world than ever before.

Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) June 27, 2007 -- Lear Financial reports declining gold supply and the increased demand for gold jewelry have attracted a record number of global gold investors.

With the gold jewelry market strong especially in China and India, investor interest in gold is surging. The benefits of a long term strategic investment in gold are well known as gold is a great portfolio diversifier and proven preserver of wealth.

However, many people still remain relatively ignorant as to how to invest in gold.

"There are a number of ways of buying gold for investment purposes", reports Kevin DeMeritt a top gold investment advisor of Lear Financial, one of the top gold coin companies in the U.S.

"Investors can buy American Eagle gold coins, gold bullion, gold bars, or invest in exchange traded gold, gold accounts, gold certificates, gold-oriented funds and structured products," adds Kevin.

There is no doubt, however, that in recent years, as gold supplies have declined and demand has increased investment demand in gold has increased rapidly.

Gold supply feeds three main global markets -- jewelry, which represents 67 percent of demand, investment which represents 19 percent and industrial use, which represents 14 percent.

Lear Financial points to India, China, the Middle East, and the United States as the regions commanding the highest demand for gold coins and gold jewelry.

This demand for gold is generated from a number of important practical uses. Car air bags, mobile telephones, laptop computers, aero engine brazing alloys, and many other things we consider indispensable to today's society would not function without the use of gold.

Almost all electronic consumer items contain a small amount of gold, which is critical to the reliable and efficient functioning of the equipment. The chips and contacts found in a car's ABS anti-lock braking system all contain gold, as do smoke detectors, routinely used in millions of households to protect against fire, which contain a gold alloy placed between layers of another metal.
