Covergence, The Life Sciences Leaders Forum

Shoppers in Vineyard Haven commented on the amount of activity on Main Street as Mansion House on Martha's Vineyard, http://www.mvmansionhouse.com, was the setting for Convergence, The Life Sciences Leaders Forum for the third consecutive year.

Vineyard Haven, MA (PRWEB) June 28, 2007

Convergence is an event designed to bring together biotech, pharma, and device innovators from around the Northeast for two days of high-value conversation and networking.

This year's focus was about the leading edge of stem cell research, the new field of aesthetic medicine, new links between drugs and devices, changes in venture capital funding, and how successful CEOs have grown their companies in challenging circumstances.

Speakers included:

Christopher Gabrieli, Managing Director, Ironwood Equity Fund; Chairman, Massachusetts 2020 David Scadden, MD, Co-Director, Harvard Stem Cell Institute Bruce Zetter, PhD, VP for Research and CSO, Children's Hospital Boston

Attendees and their families filled Vineyard Haven Inns, including Crocker House, Greenwood House, Clark House, Doctor's House, 1720 House, Hanover House and Vineyard Harbor Motel. The workshop attracted over 150 invitation only participants. "Not only was the Mansion House happy to host the event, but we were delighted that our neighboring Inns also filled up," noted Susan Goldstein, " even the Town netted over $4,800 just from this mid week meeting because of the 4% Room Tax." Events were also scheduled at The Black Dog, Winds Up and Madame Falgoux.

Convergence, The Life Sciences Leaders Forum plans on returning next year.
