New Blog Printing Technology: SharedBook Introduces Blog2Print Widget
Writers on Google's Blogger platform and their readers can now turn blog posts into a printed book with a single click. Anyone can go to Blog2Print.com to see how their favorite Blogger content will appear. The first 100 bloggers to add the widget to their sites will be entitled to a complimentary 20-page book through July 31, 2007.

Content owners on Google's Blogger platform and their readers can now turn blog posts into a printed book with a single click. Additional compatibility will become available later this summer.
The first 100 bloggers to add the Blog2Print widget to their sites will be entitled to a complimentary 20-page hard cover book, valued at $24.95. The offer is good through July 31, 2007.
Blog2Print is a quick and easy way for blog owners to compile their favorite posts in printed book format. The widget also gives bloggers the ability to monetize their content through the sale of newly created books. Content owners can sign up to receive a 20 percent share of the retail price of all blog books made by others of their content.
"Built using our open API (application programming interface) which is available for anyone to use, the Blog2Print widget gives individuals a simple way to capture the online content that is the most relevant to them in a structured book product," said Caroline Vanderlip, CEO, SharedBook Inc.
When users click on the Blog2Print button to print blog content, they are given several options. They can upload a cover photo, select all blog posts or the dates of the entries they would like to include in the book, and choose whether the posts should appear in reverse-chronological or chronological order. They can also select an introduction, or write their own.
Today, blog content flows into SharedBook's Reverse Publishing platform with the text entries first, then comments and finally, any photographs. Shortly, photos embedded within the appropriate text will appear in the book that way as well. Over the next several months, SharedBook will be working with its users to introduce additional blog printing features to Blog2Print.
As with other SharedBook products, once the blog content flows into the book structure, individuals can preview and purchase the book, or personalize it further by adding to it. They can also invite others into their personal book making space to contribute additional information.
