Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 30, 2007 -- The internationally acclaimed vocal stylists The Boofont Sisters are once again poised to grace the stage of Silverlake's Casita Del Campo Restaurant in a new multimedia extravaganza about fellow legendary songstress Dolly Parton. The Boofont Sisters have been entertaining audiences for over 10 years with their unique brand of comedy, re-working of classic songs, and Broadway caliber voices. "Dolly Wouldn't" marks the first time pairing of The Dime Box Band, an all female bluegrass band, and The Boofont Sisters.
"Dolly Wouldn't" starring The Boofont Sisters runs Friday, July 27, and Saturday, July 28, and Friday, Aug. 3, and Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Cavern Club Theater in Silverlake. The Casita Del Campo Restaurant offers a wide variety of authentic Mexican dishes and tasty margaritas available before the show.
After spending many months in a treatment facility, Vicky decides that it's time to pay tribute to her roots and one of her favorite vocalists of all- time, Dolly Parton. Although abandoned at a young age, Ruby decides her love of clogging must be linked to the smoky mountains in Tennessee. Similarly, Vicky's tambourine prowess reveals that Dolly must be a distant relative. The Boofont Sisters out sing and out drink anyone from miles around on "9 to 5" and "I Will Always Love You". "Dolly Wouldn't" features the infamous duet, "Islands in the Stream" and a puppet show set to Vicky singing "Me and Little Andy". The resemblance between The Boofont Sisters and Dolly are apparent in their big, blonde wigs, trashy costumes, and resonating voices. Although the Boofont bloodline does not, in fact, go back to Tennessee, The Boofont Sisters quest for family resolves in kinship between sisters.
