(Billboard Publicity Wire/PRWEB ) July 11, 2007 -- Iv'Joy Records announces the release "Of When You Came," a two disc, jazz flavored easy-listening CD by Clark Ingram. The CD is 18 sides produced, arranged and conducted by one of New York's finest producers, David Berger. He and Clark have mixed different styles, genre and classical strings to present a pleasing treat. Clark's offering on 'One Note Samba' and the standard 'You've Changed' are two of the better versions heard in quite some time.

"Jazz and I are forever," said Ingram, in 1991. He was performing in a small jazz joint just east of a narrow walkway that separated Santa Monica city from Santa Monica Beach.

Listeners will be enriched and instinctively know that Ingram's life is lived with an intensity embracing the full spectrum of human feelings. It explains the intimacy of style that will irresistibly woo and envelop a listener into his music-sculptured world.

Clark was born in Buffalo, NY and said he fled Buffalo early and quickly. Ingram traveled from New York and then to Los Angeles where almost immediately he was exposed to coming music elites like Dexter Gordon, Wardell Grey, Jimmy Heath and the Bird.

"Those guys influenced me to the point that I began hoping and believing that I could learn to play as they did. In truth, I was lousy," he said laughingly.

In time, there came gigs and openings with Lou Rawls, Barbara McNair, Red Fox, Red Holloway and Jimmy (Vibeman) Wells. "They and many others steered me to the vocals. Jazz is my truth and truth is my good," he said.

Listeners who like and appreciate, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Billy Eckstien or if Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, June Christy and Peggy Lee touched you and if Cassandra Wilson, Vanessa Rubin move you, then this album has a place in any listener's collection.
