John Hockenberry To Moderate Second Annual Dwell on Design Conference + Exhibition -- Event Focus: Building Community in the Modern World
The Dwell on Design Conference + Exhibition is a highly interactive, idea driven, multi-day experience designed to ignite a creative spark within the ever growing community of consumers, creative professionals and businesses that share a passion for modern design, sustainability and smart growth. This year's theme is Building Community in the Modern World and includes all aspects of the built environment - from urban redevelopment projects to co-housing and single family dwellings; from farmers markets to public art programs - as well as diverse social and economic interactions that define the world in which we live. Highly acclaimed journalist John Hockenberry will moderate this year's one-and-a-half-day conference which kicks off a three-day weekend dedicated to exploring and celebrating what it means to build community in a modern world.

About John Hockenberry
John Hockenberry has won four Emmy awards, three Peabody Awards, and is a Distinguished Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Media Lab. He is a contributing editor for Wired and Metropolis magazines, and was recently named a contributor to Conde Nast's Portfolio. His father was an industrial designer at IBM, and then turned Steelcase into the company we know today.
