Waltham, MA (PRWEB) July 1, 2007
Standolyn Robertson, CPO®, president of Things In Place, has been installed as president of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO). Standolyn assumes the reign as the first New England-based leader of this fast growing association, which has doubled its membership in four years to close to 4,000 members throughout the U.S. and in eight other countries.
"I'm very excited to be part of the new dynamic team that will be driving the growth of one of the country's fastest growing professional organizations," said Robertson. "NAPO has been extremely helpful to me. As a member, I've established important business contacts and relationships and learned from its programs. As I enter the NAPO presidency this year, I'm looking forward to helping make NAPO even more valuable to its members and to heighten awareness of the professional organizing industry."
Robertson established her professional organizing consulting firm, Things in Place, in 2000 after gaining valuable experience through her work in training at Universal Studios Orlando, retail management, and community service. She recently earned the prestigious designation of Certified Professional Organizer®, a unique distinction in the professional organizing industry. She is past president of NAPO's New England Chapter and has served as a presenter for "Organizing U," an evening of public seminars on organizing. Robertson is also a past board member and programming director of the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization. She has been featured as a national professional organizing expert in the Miami Herald, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, and on NPR's Here and Now.
