InterAct JavelinNCIC Receives Two-Way Access Approval From Georgia GCIC

InterAct Public Safety Systems JavelinNCIC has received approval from the Georgia Crime Information Center to establish the two-way access software in the state. This two-way access allows for users to query from the NCIC database as well as contribute information.

InterAct Public Safety Systems, a leading provider of safety and security software used by local, state, national and international government agencies, has received certification for two-way access JavelinNCIC in the state of Georgia. An InterAct customer in Georgia requested the JavelinNCIC service, which started the approval process through the Georgia Criminal Information Center (GCIC).

JavelinNCIC allows for a computerized index of criminal justice information, including: criminal record history information, fugitive, stolen properties and missing persons. The JavelinNCIC software comes in two forms, query only and two-way access. Although a stand-alone product, JavelinNCIC can also be integrated into InterAct computer aided dispatch (CAD) eliminating the need for multiple entries of data.

The two-way access that is now available in Georgia allows for users to access, or query, information from the NCIC database. This same access also allows for users to upload and request additional information. Now that JavelinNCIC has been approved, it is available for purchase by any emergency service agency in the state as a stand-alone product. It is also integrated into InterAct's computer aided dispatch system.
