Patio Designs Bring Home the Great Outdoors This Summer at Repair-Home.com

With expert design advice from Repair-Home.com, an online, interactive home repair resource, homeowners can be enjoying the right patio as early as this week to make the most of the remaining summer months. Investing in building a patio pays off twice, once in the enjoyment derived and once in the value it adds to a property. Repair-Home.com features an assortment of comprehensive articles on designing, building and furnishing patios, from a simple self-build to a sophisticated enclosed extra room.

(PRWEB) July 5, 2007 -- Turning patio plans into reality is an investment that pays off in the long-term when selling a property and also in the enjoyment, reports Repair-Home.com, an online, interactive home repair resource. With some patios, and the right patio design advice, homeowners can be enjoying a new patio this summer, or even this week (http://www.repair-home.com/outdoors_patios_patio_designs.html). From a simple brick patio do-it-yourself job to a swish enclosed entertainment room, Repair-Home.com lays out expert "how-to's" and "what-to's."

"Backyard patios can turn a drab space of land into an inviting sanctuary," says Repair-Home.com in a new article on patio designs. "They can give you additional living space, especially if you add a patio enclosure, and drive up the value of your home." And the return on investment for patio home improvements is very strong. Tom Kraeutler of MoneyPit.com comments: "According to the 2006 Cost vs. Value Report produced by Remodeling Online, installing a deck will give you a 76.8 percent return on investment when it comes time to sell your home. Patios are not rated, although I would expect the results to be similar."

According to AllExperts.com, building a patio can be realized quite inexpensively. A simple concrete patio of 300 square feet could even cost less than $1,000. "At a nominal 4" thick you will need around 4 yards of concrete. Depending on your location the cost of the concrete alone will be anywhere from 65 to 100 dollars a yard, possibly more," said AllExperts.com's Bruce E. Johnson, breaking down the cost. "Add another $300 to $400 for labor if you are not going to do the work yourself."

Repair-Home.com (http://www.Repair-Home.com) is an online home repair resource that includes an interactive homeowner driven forum, contractor listings and home repair resources ranging from walls and floors to cabinets and plumbing. Repair-Home.com connects homeowners with top home repair specialists and contractors for specific home repair projects.
