Orleans, MA (PRWEB) July 5, 2007
A question frequently asked by Cape Cod summer visitors is, "Where's the beach?" Silly as it sounds, many Cape beaches actually lie hidden down dirt roads and dead-end side streets. The 2007 Cape Cod Beach Map, published by MoreBeach.com, reveals them all and even more. This is the first map of its kind, being exclusively devoted to Cape beaches from Bourne to Provincetown. The 19" X 24" publication offers parking/facilities information for 29 recommended beaches and listings for all 152 regional beaches organized by town. Twenty popular boat ramps are displayed along with directions to each, as well.
Additionally, each beach and boat ramp entry features decimal lat/long coordinates compatible with Google Maps and GPS devices for access to detailed local mapping. On the backside, colorful photos of Cape Cod beaches and coastal scenery accent business listings for tackle and surf shops, kayak rentals, ferries and whale watch tours. The map's front right border shows images and mini-descriptions of some of the Cape's most popular sea creatures.
The Cape Cod Beach Map was created by staff members and contributors at MoreBeach.com In performing research for their website, MoreBeach.com, principals Mike Marks, Chris Johnson and John Winchell, all local Cape Cod surfers, discovered that there was a need for map devoted exclusively to beaches. Invaluable assistance was provided by Harwich, MA photographer Jerry Johnson and graphic designer Chris Pesko of Norwell MA.
MoreBeach's mission is to cover all things beach, and the website's depth of content and growing beach database clearly reflects this commitment. MoreBeach.com provides coastal vacation and activity information for New England from Rhode Island to Maine including beach photos and descriptions, surf forecasts, vacation rentals and a marine life database.
One of the site's busiest destinations is its Coast Guard Beach webcam. Located in Eastham, Coast Guard is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore and is consistently ranked one of the top ten beach destinations in the United States.
The 2007 Cape Cod Beach Map retails for $2.00 USD and is currently being distributed at businesses across the region by Meds Maps of Harwich, MA.
