Atlanta-Based Event Designer J Patrick Emerges As One of Nation's Foremost Design Visionaries
Established Broadway artist known for director's eye and panache soon featured for his design work in two network wedding shows; scores trifecta in corporate, wedding, and theme event triumphs
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 3, 2007 -- One of Atlanta's best-kept secrets is no longer under wraps, as event designer, J Patrick (www.jpatrickdesigns.com), scores top engagements in the wedding, corporate, and theme party markets---achieving what some are calling "a real trifecta." After J Patrick's 2007 Allie Award nomination for his dazzling recreation of 1930s New York for the Ritz Carlton's 21st Anniversary Gala, the designer's reputation for imbuing events with sterling elegance and theatrical zeal reached a pinnacle. J Patrick had several hundred guests "Puttin' on the Ritz" as they dined in vintage restaurants and strolled through shops while listening to live music of the era. J Patrick was soon recruited by corporate champions Coca-Cola and AT&T to transform Atlanta's Centennial Park into a world-class venue for the 2007 NCAA Men's Final Four Championship. His television debut is slated for this fall, where his wedding design work and related interviews will be featured on The Learning Channels' "A Wedding Story," and Lifetime Television's hit series, "Get Married."
Born in Sapporo, Japan, and raised amid the simmering colors and sultry summers of the American South, J Patrick is best known for his uncompromising, authentic style--one which fuses gallant traditions with cutting-edge design elements that embellish his signature and one-of-a kind events.
Extensive early training in the arts polished a prodigious talent for theatre, dance, and the visual arts which, at the age of 17, carried J Patrick to Broadway. He soon landed a coveted role in Ron Field's production of "Cabaret" featuring Joel Grey. After amassing more than 25 notable productions as a performer, and further cultivating a keen visual style, J Patrick launched successful careers in the related fields of choreography and direction. With a solid track-record, and the ability to consistently deliver luminous spectacle to audiences of all ages, J Patrick's design reputation spread throughout production companies in the field--quickly reaching major corporations, event planners, and foundations, which generated clients such as Cingular Wireless, Coca-Cola, the Atlanta Braves, Ritz Carlton Hotels, and venues such as the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, Georgia International Convention Center, Turner Stadium/755 Club, Cobb Galleria and the Marietta Convention Center.
The designer's ability to tap into his client's dreams and ideas and "energize them with life, is one of the most rewarding aspects of the design process," he said recently. With an engaging personality, relaxed sense of humor, and distinctive vision, J Patrick creates luxurious, escapist worlds for his clients and their guests to savor--a significant reason for which he is emerging as one of America's most sought-after designs talents.
J Patrick is hosting an invitation-only client appreciation reception in his Atlanta-based design studio on Wednesday, July 18, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M., where clients can speak with the designer in a casual atmosphere over cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while touring the theatrical-style facility.
