IMF Hosts Concert for a Cause Featuring Band From TV Headliners James Denton, Greg Grunberg, Bob Guiney, Hugh Laure, and Bonnie Somerville, Aug. 27 at Avalon Hollywood

The International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) - conducting research and providing education, advocacy, and support for myeloma patients, families, researchers, and physicians - today announced that they will host Concert for a Cause --featuring Band from TV, whose member include James Denton, Greg Grunberg, Bob Guiney, Hugh Laurie, and Bonnie Somerville, Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, 8 p.m. at the Avalon Hollywood..Proceeds from the event will benefit The Art of Elysium, Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, Guitar Center Music Foundation, International Myeloma Foundation, National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, The Pediatric Epilepsy Project at UCLA, and Save the Children.

North Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) July 9, 2007 -- The International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) - conducting research and providing education, advocacy, and support for myeloma patients, families, researchers, and physicians - today announced that they will host Concert for a Cause --featuring Band from TV, whose member include James Denton, Greg Grunberg, Bob Guiney, Hugh Laurie, and Bonnie Somerville, Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, 8 p.m. at the Avalon Hollywood.

Proceeds from the event will benefit The Art of Elysium, Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, Guitar Center Music Foundation, International Myeloma Foundation, National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, The Pediatric Epilepsy Project at UCLA, and Save the Children.

The Band From TV (The Band from TV Global Charity Trust) consists of actors, musicians and athletes who have come together for a common goal - to raise money through music to help those in need. Finding a cure, helping children around the world, protecting our environment, providing educational materials or musical instruments, aiding in natural disasters or standing up against domestic violence, the Band does everything in their power to not only get the message out, but also raise much-needed funds.

Sponsors for the event include 97.1 Free FM, Hendrix Electric Vodka, Los Angeles Confidential Magazine, and Avalon Hollywood. The event will include special guest DJ Timbo who is also a sponsor.

Myeloma, also called multiple myeloma, is a bone marrow cancer that affects blood cell production causing fatigue, weakness, and pain. It is the second most common blood cancer after lymphomas, affecting more than 750,000 people worldwide and its prevalence is increasing. Myeloma research is helping lead the new direction of cancer treatment - although there is currently no cure for myeloma, it is an eminently treatable disease allowing patients to live longer and productive lives.
