San Diego, CA (PRWEB) July 23, 2007 -- 10stepmarketing, a small business marketing coaching firm has announced its flagship product, "How to Successfully Market Your Business in 10 Simple Steps," has been awarded the 2007 APEX Award for Publication Excellence in the How-to Writing category. This is the second year in a row this small business marketing how-to guidebook has been honored with an Apex Award. Nearly 5,000 APEX entries were received with 1,521 Awards of Excellence handed out. A detailed list of winners is available at http://www.apexawards.com/A2007_Win.List.pdf

According to 10stepmarketing founder and author Debbie LaChusa, the 10stepmarketing Step-by-Step Guidebook was completely updated for 2007 with over 40 new pages, including two new sections on advertising and Internet marketing. The 188-page updated how-to guidebook is comprised of 10 steps that teach small business owners and solo-professionals how to market effectively while also helping them create and implement a marketing plan. The how-to guidebook is part of The 10stepmarketing System which sells online for $97 and is available at http://www.10stepmarketingSystem.com

"The guidebook is written in a question-and-answer format that replicates the experience of working with a marketing consultant or coach," says LaChusa. "It's a great option for solo-professionals and small business owners on a tight budget who can't afford to hire a marketing consultant or agency."

APEX 2007 awards were based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence. The APEX Awards are sponsored by the editors of Writing That Works: The Business Communications Report, published by Communication Concepts, Inc. of Springfield, Virginia. 2007 marks the 19th year the awards competition has been held.

10stepmarketing was founded in 2004 by marketing veteran and entrepreneur Debbie LaChusa. LaChusa has worked in the marketing and advertising industry for over 21 years, and has run her own small business marketing consulting firm DLC Marketing, Inc. for the past nine years.
