Through The Steam Team's membership in Disaster Kleen International, Inc. (DKI), North America's largest property damage restoration contracting organization, the company can work with Chubb-insured homeowners to provide mitigation, restoration and reconstruction services.

The Steam Team has already proven its ability to respond within hours of a water-damage event, most recently helping to salvage the historic State Theatre in downtown Austin after a water main burst behind the theater left the venue engulfed in nearly six feet of water. The nine-day cleanup by owner David Marquardt and his crew of 40+ workers saved much of the original structure and furnishings.
"Water damage increases substantially if not treated promptly," explained Marquardt. "Woodwork begins to swell and buckle, and wall coverings mildew, which is why we offer a 24-hour emergency call service for water situations."
Marquardt says his company's participation in the DKI network allows The Steam Team to expand its scope of service, enter new markets and work in partnership with other quality restoration firms. DKI member companies provide round-the-clock full service restoration to customers including emergency response, water damage mitigation, mold remediation and reconstruction.
