Spanish Credit Card Site Now Offers Information in English for Ex-Patriots

The website Zona Credito which offers advice, opinions and tools for choosing a credit card in Spain last week also began began providing its content for English speaking residents of the country.

Barcelona, Spain (PRWEB) July 12, 2007 -- The tens of thousands of English speaking residents of Spain, and particularly those new to the country and language, can now find help and advice with applying for credit in their adopted home.

Since 2005 the credit card portal http://www.ZonaCredito.com has provided this service to its native visitors, with articles on how to manage credit card debt and how to avoid fraud, as well as being a one-stop shop for credit card applications. From this month, all this content will be also available in English.

Co-founder Matthew Davies says that many ex-patriots who are keen to hold a credit card can be intimidated by financial jargon when they first arrive in Spain. He hopes that the changes to the site will help English speaking visitors decipher the necessary application forms and also to understand the various cultural and practical differences they are likely to encounter when borrowing in Spain.

As well as providing general credit card information, for a time the site provided regular updates to its credit card blog, which was maintained for 12 months until the demands of other projects forced the owners to stall updates.

"We want to get the weblog up and running again as soon as possible," says Mr. Davies. "In its initial incarnation we provided regular articles on how to choose a credit card and keep spending under control. But we also used it to communicate relevant news stories to do with online scams like phishing, which we felt were very valuable. We plan to pick up exactly where we left off."

From now on, each post will be made in both Spanish and English, reflecting the new audience.
