LTI DataComm Awarded the US Navy's SeaPort-e Contract for Professional Services

LTI DataComm has been awarded the SeaPort-e contract vehicle as a prime contractor by the US Navy. SeaPort-e allows the US Navy and Marine Corps, as well as other Federal Agencies, to easily procure professional services from a select number of contractors.

Sterling, VA (PRWEB) July 12, 2007 -- LTI DataComm, a Sterling-based systems integrator, announced today that it has been awarded the US Navy's SeaPort-e (SeaPort Enhanced) contract vehicle for the US Federal Government's procurement of a variety of professional services. SeaPort-e provides a standardized method for issuing solicitations to a group of approved service providers, while easing the award of task orders and management of contract performance. This contract vehicle is a mandated-use mechanism for the US Navy and Marine Corps, but is also available to other federal agencies. SeaPort-e has been designated the vehicle of choice for the US Navy's future Engineering, Financial, and Program Management support services.

"LTI DataComm is proud to have been awarded SeaPort-e in six of seven regions," said Kurt Worden, LTI's US Navy and Marine Corps Business Development Manager. "The award of SeaPort-e prime status allows LTI to more effectively support engineering and operations of the exceptional telecommunications and information technology we've deployed around the world. We look forward to serving our federal customers, specifically the Navy and USMC with professional service needs through this vehicle."

SeaPort-e is an effort to bolster the US Navy's Seapower 21 objective to increase efficiency. Its goal is to provide a uniform contracting channel to serve the needs of geographically dispersed organizations with a wide range of product and mission requirements. Primary customers include the Virtual SYSCOM (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, NAVSUP, SPAWAR, Strategic Systems Program (SSP), NAVFAC); Commander, Naval Installations (CNI); and the US Marine Corps.

"As a veteran-owned small business, we take pride in our solid past performance record," said John Hall, VP Sales & Marketing. "This award furthers our belief that we offer a highly competitive professional services portfolio and the necessary quality of work to meet the Federal Government's standards."
