Cappex.com Offers $25,000 in College Scholarships
Cappex.com will not only help students find colleges who want them, but also help pay for it -- no essay required.
Highland Park, IL (PRWEB) July 19, 2007 -- Cappex.com is giving students going to college $25,000 just for being themselves. There is no essay to write, no letter of recommendation to solicit.
Today, students can apply for the first round of Cappex college scholarships. There is one scholarship each for an intended major in psychology, nursing and computer science.
The College Tour Travel Scholarship is also available today. This scholarship provides students with a $250 airline travel voucher. High school students can use the plane tickets to explore a prospective campus. This is another way Cappex helps students find the best college fit. Two College Tour Travel Scholarships will be awarded each month from August 2007 through January 2008.
"We are in the business of making sure high school students find the best college fit possible. Offering scholarships is a natural extension of our work," said Mike Moyer, Cappex.com president. "Our travel scholarships get students on the road visiting schools so they can find the right college for them."
In all, 26 college scholarships worth $25,000 will be awarded.
To qualify, students need only fill out a profile on Cappex.com. Once registered, they click on the Cappex scholarship tab for full details on awards offered. Students may apply for multiple college scholarships using the same profile.
In addition to being eligible for the scholarships, Cappex students will also hear about colleges seeking students just like them.
The Cappex profile is free and simple. The Cappex College Admissions profile includes information on academics, accomplishments in areas like sports and music, what students want to study in college and what kind of school they might like to attend. Cappex students are matched with interested colleges based on their needs and wants.
"Cappex turns the tables on the college admissions process. We put students in control, and make sure they capitalize on their college opportunities," Moyer said.
