New York, NY (PRWEB) July 18, 2007

In support of her new, critically acclaimed album, Wild Hope, Mandy Moore will hit the road with Paula Cole, for her first-ever co-headlining tour, to also include select solo performances. Having assembled an accomplished group of musicians to join her, Moore will debut the intimate and organic folk-pop songs off her new album, in various theaters nationwide. The tour launches in Portland, OR, on August 18 and will continue through the fall (see below for itinerary). Tickets go on sale Saturday, July 21.

Fans and critics alike have praised Moore as she emerges from her former teen star shell into a respectable singer-songwriter, having collaborated with the likes of Rachael Yamagata, The Weepies, Lori McKenna, among others.

According to Billboard, "Wild Hope is the gratifying sound of a singer finally finding her comfort zone. Gone is the sugary pop of Moore's early career, replaced instead by thoughtful musings on love and life ... an album full of subtle, but undeniable hooks." While Spin magazine adds "the tunes are catchy and heartfelt, as Moore moves from lush ballads to acoustic folk that recalls Patty Griffin," Nylon raves that "from the moment dreamy 'Extraordinary' opens Wild Hope with its violins and bass solo, your preconceived notions of what Moore's music is about will go poof." "Wild Hope" is a record that should establish [Moore] as a writer/artist to be reckoned with," adds American Songwriter.

Mandy eagerly awaits the commencement of this tour, as she prepares to bring her very first personal collection of songs, produced by John Alagia (John Mayer, Dave Matthews), to an equally intimate live setting, telling USA Today, "I've spent the last three years either thinking about or writing or recording my new songs, and now it's time to perform them in front of a live audience. That's what it's all about."
