Michele Weatherly Hired as New Ad Manager for LoudounPrepSports.com Sports Website

The LoudounPrepSports.com website has hired industry veteran Michele Weatherly as its new Ad Manager. Former Ad Manager Alysia Deem will continue to service selective ad accounts but has also assumed a greater role in organizing the online content and has been named the site's Managing Editor.

Ashburn, VA (PRWEB) July 20, 2007 -- The LoudounPrepSports.com website has hired industry veteran Michele Weatherly as its new Ad Manager.

Weatherly joins the rapidly growing website that broke 100,000 page views in May and now has more than 5,000 pages of content aimed at the high school sports fan in Loudoun County, Virginia.

"We are excited to have Michele working with us as she brings a wealth of ad experience to LPS," said owner/editor Dan Sousa.

Former Ad Manager Alysia Deem will continue to service selective ad accounts but has also assumed a greater role in organizing the online content and has been named the site's Managing Editor. Deem also functions as the site's Photography Editor.

Weatherly has been in advertising for 20 years and is a native of Virginia. With the exception of a four-year stint selling advertising for Pacific Northwest magazine in Seattle, home has always been Virginia. She resides in the Cascades community in Loudoun County with her husband Tom, and three daughters. Their oldest daughter, Jennifer, is a track and field standout at Dominion High School.

Working from her home, Weatherly sells advertising for the Home Builders Association of Virginia part time and she will continue to split her time between that association and LPS.

"I am excited to work with LPS because we love the high school sports scene in Loudoun. LPS is a great service to Loudoun families, as no other media (service) covers as much of Loudoun sports with the up-to-date information and accuracy that LPS does," said Weatherly. "With the decline in readership of papers, people are using the Internet to find information, whether they want to look up weather, a sale, or sports scores. I am eager to help make businesses in Loudoun aware of our (presence and popularity), and help those businesses reach customers through the visits to our website."

For the month of May, LoudounPrepSports.com set site one-month records with 111,641 page views and 32,107 total visits. Those numbers are up from 81,962 page views and 23,598 visits in what was a record-setting month of its own in April.

The site continues to expand its content with a section for blogs and a MySpace page opened this week.

"Our goal for the 2007-08 high school sports season is to continue our great growth," said Sousa. "In October we will celebrate our two-year anniversary and in that short time we have established ourselves as a trusted source of sports information for the Loudoun sports fan."

The Ashburn-base LoudounPrepSports.com covers the 10 public high school in Loudoun County. In the spring the site provided daily coverage of 100 teams in 10 sports including baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis and track and field. The site has also expanded to include coverage of junior varsity sports as well as those athletes at private and parochial schools in Loudoun.

Those interested in advertising on the site can contact Michele Weatherly at michele @ loudounprepsports.com.
