WANdisco Announces Another Record Quarter

Distributed computing company announces record sales, expands management team and prepares to expand market share and leadership.

WANdisco, a leading provider of distributed software development solutions, today announced second quarter results for 2007. Highlights include over 200% growth in sales from the previous quarter; relocating the company's corporate headquarters into larger offices in San Ramon, CA; new executive appointments to support growing sales, operations and development; and delivery of innovative products and services to support the rapidly growing Subversion marketplace.

The company also saw a growth in the number of customer moving away from traditional, proprietary source code management (SCM) solutions to WANdisco and Subversion.

"We have seen exponential growth in all areas of our business and the foundation is now in place for the next quarter and beyond. WANdisco has a strong and experienced management team in place, a talented development team and totally unique technology that is challenging traditional approaches to distributed computing at every turn. We fully expect to see similar growth for the remaining two quarters of 2007 and beyond."

200% Jump in Sales
For the second quarter, WANdisco's growth exceeded expectations and the company remained cash-flow positive. A record number of new customers selected WANdisco to support their distributed software development needs.

WANdisco now boasts a long list of Fortune Global 1000 companies who rely on WANdisco for globally distributed software development.

Expanded Management Team
WANdisco announced the appointments of three new members to the management team.

  •      Brian Killen joined the company as Vice President of Sales, North America and brings a wealth of experience from IBM Rational, Silverstream and WebGain where he held senior positions in their sales organizations. Brian was also the founder and CEO of FirstReef.
  •      Andrew Turner joined the company as Vice President of Europe. Andrew comes to WANdisco from Tesco (the world's fourth largest retailer) where he was the Chief Operating Officer of Tesco Mobile. Prior to Tesco, Andrew held senior positions with SAP and GE.
  •      Rod Casilli joins the company as Vice President, Business Development. Rod comes to WANdisco from Soluziona where he was Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Prior to Soluziona Rod held sales, marketing and business development positions with Tacit Knowledge Systems, IconMediaLab, eBusiness Technologies and Merrill Lynch.

Continued Product Innovation and Expansion
WANdisco's totally unique technology continues to push the limits of what can be achieved with distributed systems deployed over a Wide Area Network (WAN). Key innovations during the second quarter included: single site administration, so that all sites can be managed from any location; hot deployment features that allow new sites to be added without any interruption; new security features that automatically generate access control lists; and a new Web services interface for simple integration with third-party products.

Professional Subversion Support Services
In order to meet the growing demand for enterprise-class support for Subversion, WANdisco now offers a Subversion Support Subscription. This is a set of services and tools that assist enterprises during every stage of Subversion deployment including: implementation planning; assistance with migration to Subversion from other SCM repositories; and ongoing administration and maintenance.
