BioFoundry® Software Development Kit (SDK) Selected by Green Bit S.p.A. for its DactyScan 84 Live Fingerprint Scanner

BioFoundry®, a division of OSS Nokalva, Inc., announced today that Green Bit S.p.A. has selected the BioFoundry® Software Development Kit (SDK) to create an international standard-based offering for its DactyScan 84 Live Fingerprint Scanner.

Somerset, NJ (PRWEB) July 21, 2007 -- BioFoundry®, a division of OSS Nokalva, Inc., announced today that Green Bit S.p.A. has selected the BioFoundry® Software Development Kit (SDK) to create an international standard-based offering for its DactyScan 84 Live Fingerprint Scanner.

DactyScan 84 is suitable for all applications that require high quality acquisition of 10 fingerprints, including rolled fingerprints. "The use of the BioFoundry® SDK has facilitated the development of a BioAPI 2.0 Biometric Service Provider (BSP) for DactyScan84. It has helped us significantly reduce development time, resulting in reduced cost and shorter time to market with a standard-based offering," noted Ing. The BioFoundry® SDK is a full implementation of the International Standard, ISO/IEC 19784-1 BioAPI 2.0. It includes an implementation of the BioAPI 2.0 framework, which isolates applications from specific biometric technologies; a BSP Template that eases the development of BioAPI-compliant BSPs; as well as samples and user documentation. The BioFoundry® SDK helps create biometric architectures in which different biometric software components can be interoperable. The BioFoundry® SDK benefits both the developers of BioAPI 2.0 applications and the developers of BioAPI 2.0 BSPs.
