Ashland, OR (PRWEB) July 23, 2007 -- Cochise Health Systems, an Arizona county health program that contracts with the state Medicaid agency, Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) to administer Medicaid long term care programs, selected Plexis Claims Manager to automate its claims processing, benefits administration and EDIWorks to provide an electronic data interchange (EDI) solution.

Cochise Health Systems (CHS) is a division within Cochise Aging & Social Services (CASS), which provides assistance to residents of rural eastern Arizona to maintain the highest possible quality of life with choice, dignity and independence through medical and in-home services, education, referral and advocacy. CASS' managed care philosophy is the provision of efficient, effective, and quality long-term and medical services to eligible Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) members in Cochise, Graham & Greenlee counties through a network of credentialed health professionals.

"Cochise Health Systems was looking for a healthcare software developer with a proven track record in the successful administration of the Arizona's Health Care Cost Containment System," said Jorge Yant, Plexis CEO and President. "Plexis has demonstrated our continued expertise at Arizona's Pinal-Gila Long Term Care and Yavapai Long Term Care, where the Plexis solution has provided significant cost savings and improvements in claims processing efficiency," said Yant.

"We are really looking forward to our new partnership with Plexis. We believe that the improvement in automation of our operations will directly benefit our members and allow us to provide improved service to our Providers. We will also be able to more fully comply with the complex reporting requirements of the State and Federal government in coordinating care for our members," said Mary Gomez, Director of Cochise Aging & Social Services.
