Cancun Celebrates Annual Summer Beautyfest

Luxury Avenue Celebrates its 11th Annual Summer Beauty Fest. Cancun's famous fragrance and cosmetic empire, Ultrafemme, does it again. The Back Stage opening event will be the kickoff party, giving partygoers a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes action at Luxury Avenue.

Cancun, Mexico (PRWEB) July 22, 2007 -- The highly anticipated Summer Beauty Festival from cosmetic giant Ultrafemme will be held in Cancun this week for its eleventh consecutive year. To reflect the truly upscale and sophisticated shopping experience of Cancun's increasingly popular boutique mall, Luxury Avenue, the concept for this year's festival has been described as "Shopping in the Big City," guaranteeing that this year's event will be bigger and better than ever.

Located in Cancun's glamorously famous Hotel Zone, Ultrafemme's 2007 Festival will be held July 20 through August 4, and will feature more than twenty-eight fragrances and cosmetics from such internationally acclaimed designers as Chanel, Dior, Versace, Michael Kors and Burberry. In addition, manufacturers will send some of their most prominent makeup artists and models, such as Clarins' Jorge Vega and Estee Lauder's Wilma Tichauer, to the resort destination.

"This important event is a sample of the upscale and glamorous shopping Cancun can offer to all of its visitors," said Arturo Escaip Manzur, CEO of the Cancun Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Many of the participating companies will be launching new fragrances and special limited editions of their products, such as the Aqua Pour Homme Limited Edition. The new fragrance Yû by Mane will also be available at the festival. At US$500 a bottle, Yû is one of the world's most expensive and rare perfumes--and only 500 bottles were created. Also on the roster is English trendsetter Burberry, who is set to release "Burberry Summer" during the festival.

"Many of the most important designers consider that high fashion goes hand-in-hand with cosmetics," said Guillermo Flowers, Ultrafemme's international makeup specialist. "Cosmetic colors often influence the new season's apparel colors."

The fifteen-day festival will include demonstrations of virtual makeup as well as fragrance bar samplings from Vera Wang, Lolita Lempika, Hugo Boss, Farenheit 32 and Lacoste, among others. Men can join in on the festivities too at the "man's corner" where Lancôme will offer free skin consultations for men. The party will continue into the night, each and every night, with exciting themed parties, including the inaugural "Backstage Party" on July 20, a "Spa Party" on July 23, DKNY's "Picnic in the Park" on July 25, Estee Lauder's "Emerald Dream" on August 27, MAC's "Moonbathe" on July 28, Calvin Klein's "CKin2U" on August 3, and Lancôme's "Summer Soiree" on August 4.

The Mezzanine at Luxury Avenue also will also be the scene of numerous activities, including a false eyelash bar, a fragrance museum, a bistro, an area with programs designed exclusively for kids and, finally, Ultrafemme's famous "Skin Lounge," which will offer facials, massages, manicures and more.

Perhaps what will be most appealing for partygoers will be Ultrafemme's great offer: those customers who make a total purchase of $1,000 Mexican pesos (just under US$100) in perfumes, cosmetics or Skin Lounge treatments between July 20 and August 4, will receive a free miniature perfume or may exchange their points earned from their purchases for other special prizes and select products.
