Fleetwood RVs get Technology Boost with Latest Driver Information System from Lectronix

American Coach is including a state of the art electronic information system in all new Fleetwood RVs, supplied by electronics technology company Lectronix.

(PRWEB) July 27, 2007 -- RV enthusiasts will soon be able to take advantage of the latest information and entertainment at their fingertips, thanks to a new deal between Lectronix, Inc., a leading provider of electronics technology for the trucking and consumer automotive markets, and American Coach, the official luxury motor home of the American road.

Fleetwood RV, a leading manufacturer of recreational vehicles, announced that its American Coach line of luxury motor homes will offer the Lectronix Navion R5000 driver information system as a standard component in its 2008 Eagle, Tradition, and Heritage motor homes.

Built to address the safety, security, and entertainment needs of motor home owners and their families, the Navion R5000 DIS replaces at least six existing dash-mounted systems. Integrating audio, video, and driver information systems, the Navion R5000 can become the single interface for a variety of capabilities. Key features include a tire pressure monitoring system that displays pressures for both coach and towed vehicle tires and warns you if pressure falls too low; an advanced navigation system, with integrated video and speech guidance and augmented with a trip planner and point-of-interest information; a complete engine monitoring system that displays vehicle vital statistics with alarms if any readings fall out of range; and a camera system that monitors activity and blind spots at the sides and at the rear of the coach. The Navion R5000 also boasts a large, 7-inch LCD color screen and a range of audio capabilities including iPOD audio inputs, USB port, CD player with MP3 and WMA support, AM/FM and weatherband radio, and XM or Sirius satellite radio.

"American Coach customers expect quality, and the Navion R5000 represents the best of infotainment systems available to the RV market today," said Justin Humphreys, Director of Sales for American Coach. "The R5000 is a centerpiece in our restyled luxury RVs for 2008, eliminating the need for multiple console units and setting our offering apart from the competition."

"Whether it is music from CDs, MP3s, satellite radio, engine information, camera views, navigation data or tire pressure warnings American Coach owners will get to easily experience a wide range of entertainment and information services through the powerful R5000," said Frank Pellitta, vice president of sales and marketing, Lectronix. "The Navion R5000 helps to bridge technologies of the past and the future in a single, elegant, and integrated solution."
