Adversity Expert Christopher Novak Shares Keynote in Florida

Popular author and motivational speaker, Christopher Novak, brought his Conquering Adversity keynote to the Florida Hospital Association Conference in Naples recently. It was the fourth speaking engagement in as many weeks for the Syracuse-based expert whose six strategies on overcoming adversity, change and challenge offer a unique blend of personal inspiration and professional development.

Syracuse, NY (PRWEB) July 27, 2007 -- Adversity expert Christopher Novak shared his six strategies for moving forward through change, challenge or crisis recently as the closing keynote speaker for the Florida Hospital Association Conference in Naples, Florida. Author of, Conquering Adversity: Six Strategies to Move You and Your Team Through Tough Times, a resource to tens of thousands of professionals in hundreds of organizations, Novak brought his signature presentation to the assembled healthcare marketing and public relations professionals gathered at the Naples Grande Resort on July 20th.

A popular keynote, Conquering Adversity is an inspiring reminder about the hero we all have inside and presents six strategies - affirmation, expectation, communication, locomotion, collaboration and celebration - that make a difference in navigating life's inevitable storms. Interactive and personal, participants apply Novak's real-world lessons with in-seat activities and materials that reinforce key learning points throughout the 75-minute keynote. The result is a unique experience where participants listen to Novak's story but hear their own. "Everyone feels like the keynote was just for them," Novak says.

Novak is well versed in what it takes to rise above adversity. He was at work on August 10, 1998 when the phone rang and his life changed forever. His pregnant wife had been killed by a man high on drugs who ran a stop sign, devastating his life and that of their 9 year-old son. The ensuing journey through that true-life nightmare to a place of success and happiness, both personally and professionally, is the fire in which Novak's message was forged. But his is more than a gripping story - it's insight that is applied to the workplace as well. The dual impact of personal inspiration and professional application make Conquering Adversity an appealing keynote.

"Conquering Adversity inspires people on a deeply personal level but also equips them professionally with practical tools they can apply in the workplace every day," Novak says.

Wendy Davis, HR Officer at Central Wyoming College and coordinator of the 2007 CUPA-HR Northwest conference at Jackson Hole where Novak gave the closing keynote recently put it this way, "If you missed Chris Novak's presentation on Conquering Adversity you missed a truly powerful experience. If you ever have an opportunity to hear Chris, I urge you to do so."

The diversity of Novak's speaking appearances in 2007 highlights the broad appeal of his message and includes invitations to share Conquering Adversity with healthcare professionals at Rochester General Hospital, the Clinical Laboratory Management Association and the Florida Hospital Association; legal professionals at Bond, Schoeneck & King; human resource professionals at the SHRM National Conference and CUPA-HR Northwest Conference; business executives for Suburban Propane and Lane Construction; education professionals at Colgate University, Onondaga Community College, and Cato Central Schools; facilities professionals at the APPA National Conference and government/law enforcement officials working for the U.S. Department of Justice. Previous clients include Nike, Crowley Foods, Hess Incorporated, American Dairy Association, Magna Powertrain, Hartland (Detroit) Board of Education, Maureen Humphrey Cancer Foundation and U.S. military families stationed in Europe. Up next, Novak will be the closing keynote speaker for the Northeast Association of Student Employment Administrators Conference in Rochester, New York on July 30th.
