New Greensboro Hotel and Restaurant to Hire 250 People

The soon-to-open Proximity Hotel and the adjacent restaurant, Printworks Bistro, are looking for 250 friendly, energetic folks to fill a variety of roles. Many of these openings will be filled at a Hotel and Restaurant Job Fair on Monday, August 6 from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. at the O.Henry Hotel, located a block away on Green Valley Road across from Friendly Shopping Center in Greensboro. Proximity and Printworks are part of the Quaintance-Weaver Restaurants and Hotels family that includes Lucky 32 Kitchen and Wine Bar, Green Valley Grill, O.Henry Hotel. They are hiring for all of the businesses.

Job openings in the hotel include guest service (front desk) representatives, porters, housekeepers, housekeeping supervisors, repair and maintenance, painters, reservations, event servers, event captains, and event set-up. Opportunities in the bistro include servers, hosts, bartenders, line cooks, dishwashers, and sous chef. Applicants can complete applications and interview with leadership.

The opening of Proximity Hotel and Printworks Bistro is attracting national attention since they will be one of the most environmentally innovative hotels and restaurants in North America. With sustainable practices such at the 100 solar panels on the roof to heat water, they should receive the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certification by the United States Green Building Council. The 147-room hotel will feature guestrooms with 10-foot high ceilings, extraordinary custom-designed furnishings and four diamond service. Printworks Bistro will feature creative comfort foods with traditional and modern versions of classic dishes popular in European bistros. The dining room will have three walls of windows that overlook gardens.
