Orlando-based Wave Software, an innovator in the de-duplication, re-generation and export of native e-mail files, announced it has increased the scope of its flagship product, Trident Pro, to process native Lotus Notes NSF files along with all other loose e-files. Law firms and corporations worldwide use Trident Pro for e-discovery and regulatory response. This recent advancement in technology shortly follows the company's announcement of foreign language processing capability including Unicode, non-Unicode, double byte and UTF-8 data.

There are only a handful of e-discovery software platforms on the market today that have the capability to handle NSF files. Now Trident Pro has the ability to meet strong market demand for multiple e-mail platform processing and review in a single application. Trident Pro has the ability to save newly de-duplicated (process of removing duplicate e-mails) Microsoft Outlook PST and Lotus Notes NSF files to a server. Trident allows culling of large amounts of data independent of local drive resources. All of these steps are necessary to act quickly in discovery or regulatory requests. With loose e-file processing, Trident Pro can point at the total population of data for fast pre-culling while easily creating a chain of custody and full preservation of data.

E-mail content is exploding and more than 90 percent of corporate communications originate and remain in electronic format. When e-mails make up part of a discovery request or regulatory filing requirement, legal teams need to review these corporate documents to determine whether they are non-responsive, responsive or privileged. Trident Pro's sophisticated technology can import e-mail files, regardless of whether they are from Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes, automatically remove duplicate files, then re-generate and export the e-mails in their native file format for review.

"Wave Software continues to focus on providing speed and versatility. With our new capability to handle Lotus Notes and loose e-files, we continue to demonstrate success at every level of our corporation. Our clients now have access to software that can manage processing just about any file involved in an electronic discovery project," states Robert Childress, president of Wave Software.
