He earned the Apex award, one of the largest annual technology awards in the nation, for demonstrating leadership, commitment, and passion for excellence in support of business development, education and technology in the local community as well as throughout the state of Colorado. With 115 Nominees from 94 companies, it was the Largest Pool of Award Candidates in the Technology Association's History.

Dedicating hours of volunteer work every year, Evan is a member of the Economic Development and Public Policy Committee, the Programs and Events Committee and is the Founder and Chair of the CSIA Education Committee. He played an intricate role in working with Colorado State University to provide five scholarships for college students who have an interest in studying Math, Science and Technology.
