The Pohly Company, a diversified marketing and publishing services company specializing in engagement marketing and customer communications, announced today the acquisition of Kennard Design (Boston) as Pohly continues to implement its 5-year expansion plan that was announced in the fall of 2005.

Kennard Design, a 20-year-old Boston-based design communications firm, owned and managed by Justin Kennard, principle, provides a wide range of design services to a client list that includes Harvard Business School Publishing, Holcim (U.S.), and National Educational Travel Council.

"We are pleased to have Kennard Design join The Pohly Company," said Diana Pohly, president. "This acquisition brings in more great talent and a larger roster of clients to strengthen and expand our existing Design Communications Group as part of our current business plan."

In September of 2005, The Pohly Company restructured into five business units: Communications Consulting & Market Research, Custom Publishing, Media Sales & Consulting, Design Communications, and Fuel Publishing -- each an outgrowth of capabilities Pohly was already providing to its clients. Pohly's Design Communications Group is headed by Kevin Miller, vice president and chief creative officer, and currently serves clients that include MIT Sloan School of Management, Continental Airlines, and the Massachusetts Lodging Association.
