Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) August 6, 2007
InterAct Public Safety Systems, a leading provider of safety and security software used by private sector businesses as well as local, state, national, and international government agencies, senior vice president of surveillance solutions, Pete Quintas, will be presenting a session at APCO International. This year's conference will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD, August 5-9, InterAct booth 2427.
The 73rd annual APCO International conference and exposition brings together all of those related to the public safety industry, to share ideas and learn about new technology available.
Quintas is presenting "Protecting the PSAP" at this year's show. During Congressional committee testimony into post-September 11 security issues, Bill Caruso, press spokesman for Representative Rob Andrews (D-NJ), cited concerns about "attacks on the power grid, 911 systems, and other critical infrastructure." Thus, the need to protect the PSAP and employees is critical to ensuring public safety. Quintas will discuss available technology that can increase the security of PSAPs and employees to keep 9-1-1 services running.
Quitas' presentation will be August 8 from 1:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Baltimore Convention Center. For more information about APCO International, please visit http://www.apcoint.org. For more information about the conference, please visit http://www.apco2007.org.
