Four iPlay products have been named recipients of Creative Child magazine's annual awards. iPlay's Barnyard Blast won the 2007 Toy of the Year Award in the Creative Play for Preschoolers category; iPlay's Knights Castle won the Preferred Choice Award in the Creative Play for Toddlers category; iPlay's Fantastic Fairytales won the Preferred Choice Award in the Kids Memory Games category, and iPlay's Princess Charming won a Seal of Excellence Award in the Kid's Games category. The Creative Child awards recognize play products that meet the publication's high standards for nurturing creativity, safety, design, durability and social responsibility.
"It's an honor to have four products from the iPlay line selected for this year's Creative Child Awards," said Susan Tice, Senior Product Manager and Public Relations Director for International Playthings, Inc. "We are further thrilled that Creative Child has singled out iPlay's Barnyard Blast as the top toy for enhancing toddlers' creativity. The Barnyard Blast encompasses the characteristics of the iPlay line of products as it cultivates imagination and features innovative, high-quality design."
iPlay's Barnyard Blast, suitable for ages 18 months and up, gives children an array of interactive features, including four removable animals that play sounds when placed correctly within the barn, and four "Vegeta-balls" that roll down the barn's ramps and trigger additional engaging music. Barnyard Blast retails for $65.00.
iPlay's Knights Castle, also suitable for ages 18 months and up, offers children the chance to rule their own kingdom. Pressing the castle's crest releases the working drawbridge, while opening the castle reveals a hidden staircase. The set includes a wizard, king, standing knight, two ladders, a knight on horseback, and dragon to fully engage children's imaginations. The castle retails for $33.00.
iPlay's Fantastic Fairytales game, suitable for ages four and up, is a memory board game for two-to-four players. 15 classic fairytales are illustrated on game cards. Players travel the game board collecting these cards, memorizing them and placing them in their card holder face-out so that they cannot see the pictures. Landing on a scroll space means the player must recite the names of the fairytales on the cards collected so far. The first player to collect seven fairytale cards, land on a scroll space, and name all seven cards correctly wins the game. Since the fairytale cards are illustrated with classic fairytale characters, the game does not require reading skills. The Fantastic Fairytale game retails for $20.00.
iPlay's Princess Charming game is a two-to-four player game for ages three and up in which players help Princess Charming find her way back to the castle. The game features 11 illustrated game boards that are stacked to form one pile at the beginning of play. Players take turns moving Princess Charming around the top board and the player who moves her into the space that's actually a hole gets to remove the top board and collect a token. Once Princess Charming reaches her castle, the player with the most tokens wins! Princess Charming retails for $20.00
