For Our Future, LLC, an Alpharetta GA based company and owners of the product WedgEZ™ - The Outlet Plug Remover, has announced that effective August 2007, their product will proudly be manufactured in the United States instead of China. "Made in the U.S.A." defines a commitment to quality unsurpassed anywhere in the world. Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 13, 2007 -- For Our Future, LLC, an Alpharetta GA based company and owners of the product WedgEZ™ - The Outlet Plug Remover, has announced that effective August 2007, their product will proudly be manufactured in the United States instead of China. WedgEZ™ is the only patent-pending tool on the market designed to easily remove all plastic outlet plugs, which are used by millions of parents.

"Bringing the manufacturing of WedgEZ™ back to the U.S.A. was a heart-felt decision for us," explained Dave Miglin, co-owner of For Our Future, LLC. "We believe that 'Made in the U.S.A.' defines a commitment to quality unsurpassed anywhere in the world. Having WedgEZ™ made by American hands provides us not only a source of pride, but also a source of comfort."

Since the 1990's, plastic manufacturing in the United States has rapidly declined due to the cost of production supported by cheap labor in China and India. Although consumer and corporate demand for plastic products has increased, American manufacturing jobs of all types have suffered. Downward trends in U.S. manufacturing innovation pose a serious threat to America's long-term economic growth and living standards, according to a report released in February 2006 by the Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA) and The Manufacturing Institute of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM).

After factoring in the savings realized from overseas shipping, potential customs challenges and other considerations, manufacturing WedgEZ™ in the U.S.A. with the right plastic-injection mold partner will not have a substantial cost impact on the product or company profits. The cost analysis proves that manufacturing in the United States is still a good investment.

Once the current inventory of WedgEZ™ is sold, all of the labeling will be revised to read "Made in the USA". "Our objective with the label is to heighten awareness of this manufacturing crisis, not to make a political statement" said Miglin. "From our perspective, the best example my wife and I could set for ourselves and our children was to do more than provide "lip-service" to this important issue. If our actions inspire other companies that make retail products in China to reconsider that choice, it's frosting on the cake!"
