Drexel University's launches an online M.S. in Mathematics Learning and Teaching, a research-based best practices degree program.

Drexel University Online, a pioneer in Internet-based education programs, has launched the Master of Science in Mathematics Learning and Teaching, math education degree program.

The new online Master's in Mathematics Learning and Teaching program offers students a highly evolved synthesis of research-based best practices and collaboration between the School of Education's leaders in the field of mathematics education and the Award-Winning Math Forum @ Drexel. Students in this program will gain the skills and expertise needed to implement problem-based, student-centered, technology-intensive instruction.

The Master of Science in Mathematics Learning and Teaching is a 45-credit math education degree program that offers an opportunity to achieve a Drexel University Certificate in Graduate Study in Mathematics Learning and Teaching (CGS). The certificate consists of five 3-credit courses preparing teachers for further study and development in cutting-edge mathematics education in learning and teaching. CGS students take courses alongside graduate students, and are encouraged to matriculate into the master's program.

Similar to Drexel's other online degree programs, this fully-accredited online master's degree in mathematics learning and teaching is offered entirely online, and is intended for working professionals. Students will have 24/7 online access to class materials, group discussion, instructor feedback and exams.
