Bruno's Supermarkets LLC and FMS, Inc. (http://www.FMSSolutions.com) jointly-announced today that an agreement has been reached for FMS, Inc. to provide decision support services through its business process outsourcing and applications. According to Robert Graybill, Vice President of FMS' outsourcing operations, "This arrangement will offer an opportunity for Bruno's Supermarkets to focus on their supermarket store operations rather than building and maintaining a large infrastructure."
Bruno's received these financial and accounting services from Bi-Lo of Greenville, South Carolina in the past but in March 2007, Lone Star Funds announced that BI-LO LLC would no longer own Bruno's Supermarkets, allowing Bruno's LLC to operate as a separate company. Kent Moore, Chief Administrative and Financial Officer of Bruno's Supermarkets stated, "We're focused on building an outstanding grocery operation and arrangements like this one allow us to work on matters closer to the customer."
The transition is expected to take place in the fourth quarter of this year. Outsourced supermarket services will include accounting, financial applications support, bank reconciliation, and payroll services.
