Company Focus: More Accountability and Transparency in Elections.

Election Trust LLC today announced VoteHere® Mail in-Ballot-Tracker™ (MiBT) as its newest election tool offering. The Bellevue-based company, a balloting solution provider, recently secured reseller and development rights to MiBT as well all ongoing client relationships associated with the software from Dategrity Corporation, also of Bellevue.

"We are excited to continue Dategrity's excellent service to MiBT customers in Washington State and California as well the opportunity to offer this proven audit tool to election supervisors across America," said John Bodin, Election Trust Managing Partner. "MiBT has improved accountability and transparency in over 70 Vote-By Mail elections across 22 counties to date. We think that is welcome good news at a time when voter confidence in the election process has taken some serious hits."

MiBT tracks every ballot envelope in real time to provide complete visibility into a county's internal ballot handling and reconciliation process, i.e. it records when a ballot is mailed out to the voter, received back by the elections office, checked for a valid signature and finally separated from the incoming envelope for shuffled counting. Importantly MiBT lets election managers catch and address 'problem ballots' before they become procedurally disruptive.

Optionally MiBT allows a county to web-publish this audit trail empowering each voter with the ability to track their by-mail ballot both during and after an election.

Bodin concluded, "Every voter is used to tracking their express delivery package as it makes its way to its final destination. MiBT enables that voter to track this very special package - their ballot!"
