Joel Harry Jacobs', Land And Sea Collection is introducing four distinct models of the famous International One Design, IOD Class sailboat racer. They vary in hull color, and sail fabric, and represent both fiberglass and wood hull construction just like the real boats.
INTERNATIONAL ONE DESIGN CLASS RACER: The design was originally conceived in 1935 by legendary yachtsman, Cornelius Shields, as the basis of fostering fair and equal competition between sailors on the Island of Bermuda, and the sailboat racers on Long Island Sound. The IOD class has endured throughout the years and is more active today then when it was introduced in 1936.
These models are being offered in tribute to this legendry yachtsman, and the boat's beautiful design which is a take-off on the 6 Metre Class that was popular in the 1920's.
The IOD models are true down to the last detail. All are built using plank on frame construction, completely finished in four authentic hull and bottom paint colors, and fitted with synthetic or canvas sails and trim. Their dimensions are 25" L x 37" H x 5 1/4" W when on the stand which is included.
Attractively priced at $178.95 plus $18.00 shipping for the lower 48 States, they represent an outstanding value, and are an ideal collectable or gift.

And a collection of J Class models which includes Rainbow, Endeavour, Enterprise, Shamrock, each as full models or half hulls.
