Beat the Heat with New Cooling Accessory from Raising Cane in L.A., Calif.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 14, 2007 -- The heat is on again, but now a company in Los Angeles is giving us a great way to stay cool and comfortable -- indoors or out. The “Soakool” cooling scarf is convenient, affordable and travels well. In addition, it’s good for the environment, since it can be re-used hundreds of times.

When dry, it looks like a normal scarf, but simply soak it in water for 15 minutes, towel dry and you are ready to go. The polymer crystals in the enclosed part of the scarf are the secret, grabbing the water, slowly releasing its moisture and providing you cool comfort for hours.

Two years ago, Susan Menkes, owner of the product, was working in home health, going in and out of unairconditioned homes. On one exceptionally hot day (105) a client told her about a product she had found but couldn’t remember where. After some serious investigating, Susan realized she could make a better one, found a local manufacturer, and “Soakool” was born.

“I knew the potential was great but originally only thought of the golf or hiking markets, or maybe women who wanted cooling ‘in a flash, for a flash.’ Now we are in markets I never dreamed of -- Six Flags Parks, charity walk/runs, even the military.”

Thinking outside the box, Susan realized they can be used indoors to save on air-conditioning costs. With global warming in the news and the rising costs of energy, this is a simple, cost-effective way to get benefits while doing something good for the environment.

Soakool is the third product Raising Cane company has made -- all dealing with some aspect of a healthy lifestyle. For more information, visit www.soakool.com or contact Susan directly at (818) 705-6244.
