VRMeetings, Inc. and NTT-IT launch MeetingPlaza, an on demand video collaborative solution capable of linking up to 32 simultaneous users, with full collaborations features.

Geographic disbursement of key employees, stakeholders and value added partners of business ecosystems makes business and project management more difficult. MeetingPlaza is an optimal solution for effective, efficient and on-demand communications in today's business environment

NTT-IT of Japan, a subsidiary of the NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Company of Japan), the world's largest telecommunications company and VRMeetings, Inc, a minority owned company have partnered to introduce MeetingPlaza, a true "unified collaborative" web-conferencing solution to the US market. MeetingPlaza enjoys significant success and market share in Japan.

"Geographic disbursement of key employees, stakeholders and value added partners of business ecosystems makes business and project management more difficult. MeetingPlaza is an optimal solution for effective, efficient and on-demand communications in today's business environment," said Dr. Ira Rosenberg, VRMeetings CIO.

MeetingPlaza transfers VOIP audio/visual web conferencing from expensive equipment and challenging software products to the PC, and integrates special collaborative tools for simultaneous use, including file sharing, an instant messenger, whiteboards, presentation sharing, application sharing, live chat, instantaneous invitations for additional participants.

It creates an "on demand" seamless and secure environment for collaborative activities using multiple devices and operating systems.
MeetingPlaza is a "full duplex" (audio and video), web hosted solution that provides synchronous (real time) multi-party communications to up to 32 simultaneous participants (2000 participants for large conferences). No software downloads, special equipment, phone lines or conference bridges are required. It provides a high level of encryption, firewall traversal and minimal bandwidth speeds as low as 28.8kpbs. It also works over wireless networks.

The product is available through a subscription based service for small businesses, education, government and casual users. An enterprise solution and designated ASP service is available for larger companies. MeetingPlaza has affluent customers in Japan including Toshiba, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Nikon, Hitachi, NEC, Canon and Dell.

Dr. Yoichi Kato, General Manager of NTT-IT, said, "We are delighted to work with a company like VRMeetings to pursue the number of growing opportunities in the US market. We have a long standing relationship with the management team, and their knowledge and skills are a tremendous asset to NTT-IT."
