Life Safety Services expands into larger facility to meet growth demands.

A facilities maintenance company is moving to a new, larger facility to meet the demands of growth. Life Safety Services, a nationwide fire and smoke damper inspection company, is owned and operated by Jack Meredith and Craig Rutledge. The company has moved operations to a new facility at 4720 Pinewood Road in Louisville. The 9,000 square foot facility includes 5,500 sq. feet of office space and 3,500 sq. feet of warehouse space.

"The company has grown so rapidly in the last two years that they have outgrown their current locations. We were limited in our ability to bring in additional support staff in our other locations, and needed more space for our equipment and vehicles," said Rutledge. "Our new site is a perfect combination, allowing for both additional office and warehouse space."

According to Rutledge, the location on Pinewood Road puts them closer to the airport, an added benefit for the employees of Life Safety Services who travel all over the country inspecting smoke and fire dampers in large facilities including hospitals and factories.

In 2004 Jack Meredith and Craig Rutledge saw an opportunity to put their expertise in the smoke and fire damper inspection business to work by forming Life Safety Services (LSS). By specializing in smoke and fire damper inspections, LSS provides inspection services to facilities throughout the country at an affordable price. Life Safety Services has become one of the nation's top smoke and fire damper inspection companies by paying attention to details, providing outstanding customer service and maintaining a staff of highly professional and trained project managers and technicians.
