Drum Beat Grows Louder on Tainted Products from Overseas - New Formula by EcoNugenics is Tested Remedy for Detoxification

Excessive lead levels in toys from trusted manufacturers has alarmed parents across the country. Lead may be toxic for children and can cause serious health defects. EcoNugenics, has developed PectaSol Chelation Complex, a gentle, safe and effective formula that can help get rid of the lead in the body.

Santa Rosa, CA (PRWEB) August 17, 2007 -- Toxic toothpaste? Excessive lead levels in toys from trusted toy manufacturers like Mattel? If parents can't feel safe buying Elmo and Sarge for their kids, what can they trust? US officials are sounding the alarm about tainted products from China, which produces 80% of the world's toys. Lead may be toxic if ingested by children and can cause serious health defects. It is a major problem in China and is rapidly becoming more of a problem in the United States as evidenced by the recent recalls on toys.

EcoNugenics (www.econugenics.com) an integrative health and natural supplement company has developed a formula that can safely and effectively help get rid of the lead. They announced today the launch of PectaSol® Chelation Complex, (PCC) a gentle, oral natural product detoxifier that will be welcomed by both parents and health care practitioners. One of the primary ingredients in this formula is PectaSol® Modified Citrus Pectin, which has been involved in an on-going study at a Children's Hospital in Zhejiang China. Several children between the ages of five and twelve were admitted for toxic lead poisoning. The preliminary results of administering MCP to the children stunned researchers. MCP significantly lowered amounts of lead in the blood.

"Lead toxicity is not only a problem in China, but as CNN and other media outlets have been reporting, the U.S. faces a similar problem. We have seen this toxic metal health crisis emerging for a few years now," said Isaac Eliaz, M.D., integrative physician, author, lecturer, and product formulator. "It is important to me, as a clinician, to stay ahead of the curve and have a product that is safe and effective for my patients. This is what inspired the development of PCC."

PectaSol® Chelation Complex is a blend of Modified Citrus Pectin (MCP) and a seaweed Alginate complex. Recent results of a National Institutes of Health funded-study on MCP indicate that oral administration of MCP resulted in significant increase in the urinary excretion of heavy metals including mercury and lead. Dr. Eliaz was the lead author of the study and collaborated with researchers from the US Department of Agriculture and the University of California, Davis. The study was published in the international journal Phytotherapy Research, October 2006. Alginates have been clinically shown to support healthy detoxification. Dr. Eliaz combined these two ingredients in the PCC formula to substantially increase the body's ability to get rid of toxic metals like lead and mercury. PCC is available to the public at this time.
